How Much Money Can You Make Off YouTube

YouTube offers a Partner Program to help you easily monetize your videos on YouTube. Once you are accepted into the program, upload a video “that you have created” on to YouTube, enable advertising for that video and wait for the money to pour in.
The current split is 55-45 so if Google sells $100 worth of advertising against a YouTube channel, the partner’s share is $55. But how much many can your really make off YouTube?
Mahalo founder @Jason recently shared some raw numbers for XHIT, a popular fitness channel on YouTube with half a million subscribers, and the revenue graph isn’t very encouraging.
The video channel has accumulated over 33 million views in the last 18 months and the total advertising revenue that the channel generated from YouTube in the same period is around $90k. That’s about $2.7 per 1000 views (CPM) which isn’t an impressive deal considering the kind of effort and resources that go into producing videos.



The advertising revenue is almost directly proportional to the eyeballs.
For a majority of YouTube partners, the advertising revenue from videos may help pay the utility bills but only a few can expect to strike it rich. On the positive side, as @Jason says, YouTube does help build your brand on the Internet.

Monetize your YouTube Videos that contain Someone Else’s Music

YouTube has fairly strict guidelines for your videos to be eligible for monetization. For instance, if you have recorded a video of the crowd at a music event, the video clip cannot be monetized on YouTube as you do not have the rights to the audio. Similarly, if you create a photo slideshow using music purchased from iTunes, the video is not monetizable either as you own the photographs but do not have commercial rights for the audio.
When you upload such a video to YouTube, it may either be removed for copyright infringement or YouTube may continue to host the video but all the advertising revenue is shared with the music owner and not the video uploader. Read thisinteresting story about how Sony successfully monetized an amateur YouTube video after it went viral on the Internet.
If there are any videos on your YouTube channel that cannot be monetized since you don’t own the music, there’s now an easy workaround. You can swap the background music of these videos with a royalty-free music track from the YouTube audio library and republish the video. As soon as you do this, the video will become eligible for monetization.
Here’re the steps involved.
Step 1: Go to the Video Manager inside YouTube and select “Unclaimed” videos from the drop-down. Alternatively, you may visit this link to directly view all your uploaded videos that are pending monetization.
Step 2: The gray icon indicates that the video is non-monetized. If it is an audio issue, the fix is simple. We’ll replace the background music with another song that can be monetized. To do so, click the “Edit” button and select “Audio” from the drop-down.
Step 3: On the next screen, choose any song from the YouTube audio library that is listed as “ad-free and eligible for monetization” and position the audio such that it occupies the entire video. Click the Save button to replace the original music in your video with the selected song.

We aren’t done yet as YouTube may take some time to mix the new track with your existing video. Once that is done, go back to the YouTube video manager and choose the Edit option for that video. Switch to the Monetization tab and select Usage Policy. Save the changes and you can now monetize that video just like your other YouTube videos.
The only limitation is that you can only choose from the track available inside the YouTube audio library, you cannot upload your own music or voice narration for the video.

Upload your Photos to YouTube and Publish as a Video Slideshow

How do you share a picture slideshow on YouTube?

 Previously, you would use a tool like Windows Movie Maker or Picasa to stitch the image files into a video for uploading to YouTube. That addition step is however not required as you can create a video slideshow from pictures directly inside YouTube. Here’s how:

Create a Photo Slideshow in YouTube

While you are on the YouTube website, click the Upload button and then choose “Create” under “Photo Slideshow.” Here, switch to the Upload Photos section and drag-drop all the pictures that you would like to be included in your slideshow.
Once the photos are in timeline editor (see screenshot), you can drag them around to rearrange their position in the video. On the next screen, you have an option to change the default duration of individual slides and also the transition effect between pictures.
You can add background music to your slideshow though YouTube does not offer an option to upload your own audio files for the slideshow.
You can set the privacy to Unlisted if you would not like the video to appear inYouTube search. Also, YouTube might include ads in your video if you have attached a background track to your slideshow and the revenue in that case is shared with the music creator.

Youtube Instant Ranking Method

Hello Frends

I think i accidentally figured out a new youtube instant ranking method. However the difference is that it doesn't requires unlist - list method, no boosting, no investment and nothing. Because this method doesn't depend on any glitches on youtube. 

I created a new channel few days ago and uploaded three videos to it and left as it is because i didn't expected that they will rank. Today i checked that channel and saw that all my 3 videos have views on them. Then i searched on youtube for those keywords and i was surprised to see that all my 3 videos were on page 1 and within top 10 among 107,000 and even 135,000 results. I believe their ranking will improve on their own within few days. I have posted the screenshots below.

As i said i didn't expected that but i think i have found a real gold here. Actually i did something different which is not mentioned anywhere on this forum and i think that is the reason for the rankings. What do you people say? btw these are whitehat niches as i don't really do blackhat niches.
